About Sweeteners
When considering sweeteners for sugar-free gummies, there are several options, each with its own unique properties and benefits. Here are some commonly used sweeteners:
01
Stevia
A natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. It's much sweeter than sugar and calorie-free.
03
Xylitol
Another sugar alcohol, similar to erythritol, but it's slightly sweeter and has a few more calories. It's good for dental health but can be toxic to dogs.
05
Maltitol
Maltitol: A sugar alcohol that has 75-90% of the sweetness of sugar and nearly half the calories. It has a minimal impact on blood sugar levels.
07
Yacon Syrup
Made from the root of the yacon plant, it's high in fructooligosaccharides, which act as prebiotics to promote digestive health.
02
Erythritol
A sugar alcohol that tastes very much like sugar but has almost no calories and doesn't raise blood sugar levels.
04
Monk Fruit (Luo Han Guo)
Monk Fruit (Luo Han Guo): A natural sweetener derived from monk fruit, known for its intense sweetness without the calories.
06
Allulose
Allulose: A rare sugar found in small amounts in fruits like figs and raisins. It has about 70% of the sweetness of sucrose but only 10% of the calories.
08
Tagatose
Similar to fructose in structure, but it's much lower in calories and has a minimal effect on blood glucose and insulin levels.
